On-Call Cleanup & Bulky Item Collection Program

How it works

For your convenience — up to three times in any 12 month period, residents of single-family homes may schedule a free on-call cleanup.*

What We Collect:

  • One appliance (stove, refrigerator, etc.) OR e-waste item (computer monitor, fax machine, etc.)
  • One furniture item weighing less than 150 lbs. (mattress, box spring, sofa, table, or bed frame).
  • And up to 3-cubic yards of garbage.

Ready to schedule your free On-Call Cleanup? Contact us today via phone at 925-449-7300. On-Call Cleanup Service must be arranged in advance and will occur on customer’s regularly scheduled service day.

*Note that to be considered eligible for this service, your account must be current and payment must have been made for at least one quarter of service. The 12 month period is rolling and begins when your first Cleanup occurs.

For your convenience, single-family home residents can schedule a free on-call cleanup up to three times within a 12-month period.

Livermore Sanitation

For a safe and successful clean up, please follow these guidelines:

  • Make sure materials are out in the street and against the curb by 6am on your scheduled cleanup day. Items should be placed out at least 3-feet away from your carts. (Important: Please DO NOT place items on the sidewalk or your driveway).
  • Set out appliance OR one e-waste item. Commonly disposed of appliances are stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, and hot water heaters. Common e-waste items include computer monitors, fax machines, printers, DVD players, VCRs, and televisions.
  • Setout one furniture item weighing less than 150 lbs. Examples include one of the following: mattress, box spring, sofa, table, or bed frame.
  • Remove or tape shut the doors on a refrigerator or freezer.
  • Place up to 3 cubic yards (no larger than 9 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 3 feet high) of contained waste items in one pile.
  • Contain, box or bundle multiple/small/loose items. Please contain glass items.
  • Bundle and tie yard trimmings and wood waste. Cut pieces that are more than 5 feet in length.

Prohibited Items for On-Call Cleanup

Please do not include the following items in your on-call cleanup:
  • Liquids
  • Single items over 75 lbs (excluding appliances and the one allowed furniture item)
  • Loose, unbundled, or uncontained materials
  • Items exceeding 5 feet in length
  • Construction and demolition debris
  • Dirt, rock, brick, or cement
  • Automotive batteries or fluids
  • Hazardous or infectious waste (e.g., pesticides, fertilizers, medical waste, items containing oil, gas, or Freon)
  • Treated wood waste (considered hazardous waste and not accepted).
  • Exercise equipement
  • Car parts
  • Motocycle parts
  • Tires
